江津博物馆由接待区、基本陈列区、文创展示区、科普社教区、临展区、行政管理区及库房组成。基本陈列以“大江要津 文华之地”为主题，通过远古记忆、汉唐古城、长江要津、变革新生四个单元，展示江津自石器时代到新中国成立以来的历史文化、经济社会和风土人情。

With the theme of “Key Position of the Great River, and Cradle of the Civilization”, the Museum applies four units, including Memory of Ancient Times, Ancient Cities of Han and Tang Dynasty, Key Position of Yangtze River and Changes &Revitalization, to demonstrate the historical culture, social economy and practices of Jiangjin from the Stone Age to the founding o the New China.
